8th September, 2019 Beachy Head

RE and BHRG members were ringing in Whitbread Hollow. Good numbers of Blackcaps were again present and a surprise was a Nuthatch trapped and ringed, A new ringing species for the Ringing Group although on the 6/9/1975 one was trapped but escaped before it was ringed.
SL walked the area from Went Hill to Belle Tout wood, then covered Shooters Bottom and the Old Trapping Area. Usual selection of common night migrants which included a small fall of Chiffchaffs, 3 Spotted Flycatchers and 1 Pied Flycatcher.
