We visited Ditchling Common during the late afternoon. Beautiful weather being hot and sunny. Main purpose of this visit was trying to find a Purple Hairstreak low down. We saw a number flying high in the oak trees and finally one was fairly low down in an oak tree although kept its wings fully shut. Even so, manage to obtain a series of photographs.
