11th July, 2015 Beachy Head Fine sunny and becoming hot NW 1

Covered most of the main sites on the Headland. Only movement recorded were 12 Sand Matins and 15 Swifts moving W. The highlight were 2 superb White-lettered Hairstreaks our first sighting for about 4 years.

Again good numbers of Butterflies which included 50 Marbled Whites, 2 Painted Ladies, Both Common and Chalk Hill Blues, 5 Dark Green Fritillaries, and the 2 superb White-lettered Hairstreaks. A small influx of around 10 Silver Y moths also occurred.
