Sea-watching Birling Gap 06.10 to 10.25 Fine sunny morning Wind light variable E to SE.
We joined RAB and KG at Birling Gap with a steady E. movement which petered out around 10.00am.
The following includes the birds seen by RAB and KG before our arrival at 07.00. All birds were moving E unless otherwise stated.,
Gannet 6 and 1 W, Red-throated Diver 58 and 1 on the sea, Great-crested Grebe 1, Brent Goose 13, Shelduck 8 and 3W, Common Scoter 360, Velvet Scoter 1, Red-breasted Merganser 2, Avocet 3, Mediterranean Gull 172, Black-headed Gull 11, Little Gull 172, Sandwich Tern 90, Bonxie 1 Arctic Skua 2.
