Sea-watching Birling Gap, Beachy Head

Sea-watching Birling Gap, Beachy Head 22nd March, 2022. Fine and sunny and warm SE 1-2

Doreen and myself joined RAB and LP and we sea-watched from 06.00 to 11.00 and recorded the following species, virtually all moving East:

Little Egret 1,Gannet 6, Red-throated Diver 105, Black-throated Diver 1 @ 09.24, , Great-crested Grebe 1,  Brent Geese 1024, Grey-lag Goose 2 in off the sea, Pintail 100, Common Scoter 587, Red-breasted Merganser 8, Shoveler 12, Teal 10, Garganey 2 @ 9.07, Common Gull c50, Black-headed Gull c36, Mediterranean Gull 11, Arctic Skua 1 @ 06.57, Curlew 2, Carrion Crow 1 in off the sea, Heron 1

Sea-watching Birling Gap, Beachy Head 23rd March, 2022, Misty out to sea otherwise fine and sunny.
Doreen and myself joined RAB and LP and we sea-watched from 06.20 to 09.35. Majority moving E.
Little Egret 1, Red-throated Diver 21 + 1 on the sea, Great-crested Grebe 1 on the sea. Gannet 4, Brent Geese 289, Common Scoter 438, Shoveler 23, Teal 7, Wigeon 1, Pintail 1, Red-breasted Merganser 1, Shelduck 3E, 1W and 2 prospecting, Common Gull 142, Lesser-Black Backed Gull 1, Black-headed Gull 39, Mediterranean Gull 9, Sandwich Tern 3,  Carrion Crow 1 in off the sea,
