We flushed a dark coloured Marsh Harrier in Shooters Bottom at 07.25 and it flew up towards the fields near Beachy Head Hotel and after an hour it was seen flying out of these fields and headed off E. It appeared to have little or no white around the head and was therefore considered to be a different bird to what we saw last week-end. Otherwise very few migrants were present in the bushes, Whinchat numbers had increased to 11 and 2 Grasshopper Warblers were present in the Hollow, and Blackcap numbers are beginning to build up.
Just small numbers of Swallows and House Martins were moving E with the odd Yellow Wagtails.
Marsh Harrier 1 flushed from Shooters Bottom at 07.25 (JFC:DRC) and was later seen in the field by B.H.pub and departed E at 08.30 (RKH:RES and KH).
