23rd July, 2018 Beachy Head Hot and sunny N3-4

RE started the Autumn bird-ringing session in Whitbread Hollow this morning and caught or recorded the following, although the weather was probably too hot and the N wind was stronger than forecast.

Song Thrush 2
Stonechat male with 3 juvs.
Grasshopper Warbler 2 (our first for this year)
Reed Warbler 2
Sedge Warbler 1
Whitethroat 2
Lesser Whitethroat 1
Blackcap 9

Late news for the 20/7: LP recorded Reed Warbler 1, Sedge Warbler 1, and Nightingale during the evening in Shooters Bottom.
