18th July, 2018. Beachy Head Cloudy with sunny periods warm SW 2-3

We visited all the main sites on the Headland in rather overcast conditions. Very quiet for bird life and no sign of any overhead movement. Just a few new warblers were present in the bushes but generally disappointing.

Green Woodpecker 1 calling in B/T wood
Swallow 5
Meadow Pipit 12
Song Thrush 1
Sedge Warbler 2
Reed Warbler 2
Common Whitethroat 13
Blackcap 1
Willow Warbler 1 1stW
Starling-Virtually none were seen on the Headland.

Linnet 20
Corn Bunting 4

Reasonable numbers of our common butterflies were seen.

Late news for the 15th. LP visited the Headland and had 2 Reed Warblers.
