9th and 10th November, 2020 Beachy Head

RE was again ringing in Whitbread Hollow but a quieter morning and only a few birds ringed. Goldcrests numbers were down to 10 also 3 Firecrests (no retraps so far this Autumn) proving to be the highlight.  

Kestrel 1, Woodpigeon 60, Great-spotted Woodpecker 1, Blackcap 1, Chiffchaff 1, Goldcrest 10,  Firecrest  3, Long-tailed Tit 6, Jay 1, Lesser Redpoll 5, Bullfinch 1. 

10th November, 2020  

RE spent 2.5 hours and covered Birling lane, and the Birling Gap to Belle Tout loop. LP was also covering some sites on the Headland. A very quiet morning with only a few Goldcrests and a Dartford Warbler singing at Birling, and very little seen moving over the Headland.

Little Egret 2 in the fields near Birling, Common Buzzard 1, Pied Wagtail 1, Dartford Warbler 1 at Birling, Goldcrest just small numbers seen on the Headland, Siskin 12 E, Raven 2.
