27th October, 2019 Beachy Head Overcast at first becoming Sunny. N 1 increasing to 2-3

Wind now in the N and becoming colder but still a nice late Autumnal morning. We covered Birling lane, Belle Tout wood, Shooters Bottom, Old Trapping Area, Hotel Garden, Icky Ridge and Radio mast bushes. LP was also covering a number of sites on the Headland. Three members of the BHRG were ringing in Whitbread Hollow.
Headland generally quiet for migrants which included 2 Ring Ouzels, 1 Firecrest, 1 Black Redstart and our second Eastern type Lesser Whitethroat for the Autumn. In Whitbread Hollow the highlight was a Woodcock, with 40 Goldcrests and and 2 Firecrests.
