21st September, 2019 Beachy Head Very clear with a strong SE breeze 3-4

We covered Birling lane meeting up with RAB, onto Shooters Bottom and the valley opposite. A fairly brief visit for us but a number of other observers were also on the Headland including LP, AR, and AC.
Just small numbers of migrants seen and just a small passage of hirundines. Also 2 Firecrests but the highlight was 4 Great White Egrets which came flying in off the sea at Birling at 07.40.
