5th April, 2019 Beachy Head Sunny clear and cold SSE 6

A bright clear but cold sunny morning with the all important SSE wind blowing. We sea-watched from 06.50-10.50. We were joined by AR, RE, RKH, RES and KH and many thanks for your help with today's sea-watch.
Today's  sea-watch reminded me of the many sea-watches we had back in the 1970's and 80's, although virtually all today's terns were a long way out, yet back in those early years the Sandwich Terns were usually very close in.
It was interesting to compare yesterday's sea-watch with todays, yesterday the main species were Kittiwakes, Brent Geese, Mediterranean Gulls, and these had a very poor showing today and not a single Mediterranean Gull was seen today.
