Today's sea-watch reminded me of the many sea-watches we had back in the 1970's and 80's, although virtually all today's terns were a long way out, yet back in those early years the Sandwich Terns were usually very close in.
It was interesting to compare yesterday's sea-watch with todays, yesterday the main species were Kittiwakes, Brent Geese, Mediterranean Gulls, and these had a very poor showing today and not a single Mediterranean Gull was seen today.
