23rd March, 2019 Beachy Head Early sea-fog becoming misty out to sea, overcast. W vearing to NE 2

Arrived at Birling to thick sea-fog. We walked Birling lane and the fog had now cleared leaving misty conditions out to sea. We sea-watched from 07.20-08.05 but very quiet. We then covered Shooters Bottom where we met up with RE who had covered Whitbread Hollow and Cow Gap. We then went onto Belle Tout wood, and finally had a further look out to sea but without any joy.
Small arrival of Goldcrests including one arriving in off the sea and landed briefly on the roof of the visitors centre. Also 1 Sand Martin arrived in off the sea and a party of Redwings in Belle Tout wood.
Highlight was a Woodcock flushed in Shooters Bottom.
