22nd March, 2019 Beachy Head Overcast, mild with mist out to sea. SW 2-3

On the drive over to Beachy Head, we had a Barn Owl fly up from the grass verge and land near a barn at Tarring Neville.

We sea-watched from 06.20-08.20 but once again it was very quiet with only a few sea-birds moving.
We then covered the Radio mast bushes, Hotel Garden, Icky Ridge, Old Trapping Area and Shooters Bottom. RE and LP covered Birling lane, Birling loop, Belle Tout wood and Shooters Bottom.
c50 Meadow Pipits were moving overhead, the female type Merlin showed well hunting near the Hotel Garden, and 3 Black Redstarts showed well in Shooters Bottom.
