30th November, 2016 Norman's Bay

On the 28th Chris Ball found a 1stW male Desert Wheatear on the beach at Cooden which promptly disappeared. We today visited Norman's Bay as the bird had been re-located here. We parked our car and hadn't gone more than 20 yards when Doreen picked it out in very strong sun-light. It showed very well often coming very close to us, it was very active not staying in one place for very long. It was almost best to stand still and let the bird come to you.
