13th November, 2016 Beachy Head Fine sunny and mild. N 1-2

A beautiful mid-November morning. We covered Birling lane, Birling-Belle Tout loop, Belle Tout wood and walked through the field opposite, Shooters Bottom, Hotel Garden and Icky Ridge. No diurnal migration recorded and just the odd stragglers seen in the area. Very low numbers of Blue and Great Tits are being seen recently on the Headland probably due to a poor breeding season. The rough field produced good numbers of common birds as shown below:

Sparrowhawk 1
Common Buzzard 1
Kestrel 1
Skylark c80 in rough field
Meadow Pipit 15
Rock Pipit 2
Stonechat 8
Song Thrush 1
Dartford Warbler 2
Chiffchaff 1
Goldcrest 3
Goldfinch 50 in rough field
Linnet 70 in rough field
Reed Bunting 1 in rough field
Corn Bunting c25 in rough field
