9th September, 2016 Beachy Head Overcast with some drizzle cool SSW 3-4 gusting 6

A much different day today. We covered Birling lane, Old Trapping Area and Shooters Bottom which took us 2 hours and we didn't see a single migrant. Although quite a wind had picked up, most of the sites we visited were quite well sheltered. I can't ever recall a day in early September at Beachy when I did not see a single migrant including hirundines. Talk about a clear-out. Needless to say we didn't linger.
Many thanks to RKH for the identification of the moths.
