7th July, 2016 Beachy Head and Pulborough Overcast becoming humid WSW 2

We covered Birling lane, and scrub opposite, Shooters Bottom, Old Trapping Area, Hotel Garden and Belle Tout wood. Headland very quiet with Whitethroat numbers much fewer today than on the 4th. An interesting party of 9 Ravens tumbling in the up-current from the cliffs at Birling for a good 10 minutes before landing on the cliff top much to the annoyance of the local Jackdaws. The only migrant seen was a single adult Willow Warbler in Shooters Bottom.

Little Egret 1
Song Thrush 1
Common Whitethroat 12
Lesser Whitethroat 1
Willow Warbler 1 adult
Raven party of 9 at Birling

Yesterday Bob had a Nightingale croaking in Whitbread Hollow.

We then visited the black pool at Pulborough and just found 1 Emerald Damselfly.
