7th June 2016 Beachy Head Fine with sunny periods humid NE 0-1

We covered most of the Headland sites including Cliff Path. No sign of any new arrivals and just the breeding species seen. Our first Bee Orchids are now in bloom, but very few butterflies were seen with one Painted Lady. Many hundreds if not thousands of the Diamond-back Moths were present all over the Head. This is a tiny micro moth and huge numbers have been seen at a number of sites along the south coast.
