A superb autumnal morning with fabulous light. Covered all the main sites on the headland but again night migrants were in short supply. Large numbers of hirundines were on the move also several Yellow Wagtails but the highlight was a stunning Short-eared Owl which came in over the sea at 08.05 and then gave a command performance as it flew around us for 20 minutes before dropping down into the gorse.
