3rd July, 2015 Southease

News of a Squacco Heron along the river at Southease, so we made our way there during the evening and joined about 20 other birders watching this Squacco.
During our 2 hours it showed well, although it also flew several times, but usually returned to the river after a short while. Its Sussex 7th record, and the first since 2000 when one was seen at Pett Levels.
Also 15 Little Egrets seen.
