25th January, 2015 Jevington and Cuckmere Valley

After visiting Beachy, we stopped off at Jevington and almost immediately connected with the Rough-leg performing well over the game strip where it suddenly dived in and caught a large rodent. It then flew along the back of the game strip with its prey and dived into some long grass and out of sight. Also 2 Common Buzzards seen.

We then stopped off at the Cuckmere and walked down the muddy path along the west side. Large numbers of Canada Geese including the Cackling Goose, which gave good views and at one time flew off and landed further north. Also 11 Brent Geese and 1 White-fronted Goose.
