29th December, 2014 Jevington

On our way home from Beachy, we stopped off at Jevington and soon located the juvenile Rough-legged Buzzard sat in the bushes behind the usual set-aside field. Although showing at a distance, it was sat on top of a bush and almost appearing to be feeding from here, as several times it flew out into the field where it landed for several minutes before returning to the bushes.
It was now showing a larger area of black on the underparts as David's picture shows.
