17th February, 2019 Beachy Head Sunny and clear, mild, SSE 1

We sea-watched from 07.00-09.30 and were joined by RAB and our youngest son Terry. RE also covered Birling lane, Birling loop, Belle Tout wood and Cornish Farm track. A reasonable sea-passage logged but RE reported very little on the Headland areas covered.

Great-crested Grebe 4 on the sea
Gannet 51 E
Cormorant 158 (126 W and 32 E)
Brent Goose 242 E
Wigeon 50 E
Common Scoter 15 E
Curlew 1 E
Kittiwake c50 E
Auk Sp. 119 E (only Razorbills i/d)
Green Woodpecker 1 B/T wood
Meadow Pipit 2 in off the sea
Stonechat 1 Birling

Greenfinch 1 calling Birling
