5th January, 2019 Beachy Head Overcast, cold murky at sea. N 1

Our first visit to Beachy for nearly 2 months, We sea-watched from 08.00-09.00 and surprisingly a reasonable movement of Auks and the highlight was 2 w/p Black-throated Divers about 300 metres out on the sea. Present the whole hour before they drifted off along the Seven Sisters. Even allowed me time to check out i/d for Pacific Diver. Excellent start to the new year.
We then covered Birling loop, Belle Tout wood and then walked the set-aside field back to Birling.
