7th September, 2018 Beachy Head Sunny but cool NW cold 3-4

Fine sunny morning but with a cold breeze. We covered Shooters Bottom, Old Trapping Area and scrub opposite, Toilet block bushes, Hotel Garden and Icky Ridge, Belle Tout wood and scrub.
In the bright but cold sunshine a reasonable fall of night migrants which were very active at dawn but by 09.00am most had moved on.  Highlights were a Pied Flycatcher and a Grasshopper Warbler and also included our first small fall of Chiffchaffs for the Autumn. Very little seen moving overhead.
