26th September, 2018 Beachy Head Fine sunny and warm Variable around S 1-2

A beautiful autumnal morning. With news of  a Richards Pipit flying over the set-a-side field for yesterday, I decided to concentrate my effort walking through this field and then back again. An interesting walk but sadly no sign of any large pipits for me. We also covered Birling lane, Belle Tout wood, Shooters Bottom and also did a raptor watch for an hour with SL, RKH, RES, and KH.
Very few night migrants were present on the Headland but a Pied Flycatcher and 3 Spotted Flycatchers were seen in the wood and Roger, Bob and Keith had 2 Ring Ouzels in Shooters Bottom.
Hirundines were again moving, but not in the same numbers as yesterday, although at one stage they were moving through at 170 birds per minute.
