2nd August, 2018 Beachy Head Hot and sunny SW 1

Another very hot morning. We covered Birling scrub, Belle Tout wood and scrub, Shooters Bottom, Old Trapping Area, and Hotel Garden. AR covered the Cow Gap area, and RE was again trapping and watching in Whitbread Hollow.
Small arrival of Sedge Warblers at Birling. We were making our way through the scrub without seeing very much and suddenly Sedge Warblers were flying all around us, they were very active. Otherwise 3 Nightingales but again very small numbers of Willow Warblers. No sign of any diurnal migration.
