3rd July, 2018 Beachy Head Hot and sunny with strong E wind 6-7

Our first visit to Beachy since 11th May. The strong E wind made birding difficult around the bushes. We covered just Birling lane and Belle Tout wood and we then called in to see Roger C in Hodcombe.

Very little seen in the bushes but c40 Swifts and 5 Sand Martins all moving E. Again the wind made it difficult trying to see butterflies but around 12 migrant Silver Y moths were seen.
