RAB sea-watched from Birling 08.30-10.30 and then covered Belle Tout wood area and Shooters Bottom. RE also covered several areas.

31st July, 2018 Early morning rain becoming sunny and warm SW3
Doreen and myself covered Birling scrub, Shooters Bottom, Old Trapping Area, Hotel Garden and Icky Ridge.
RE covered Birling lane, Birling to Belle Tout loop, Belle Tout wood, and Shooters Bottom, and RB also covered several sites.
Again just small numbers of warblers present with a juvenile Black Redstart, but no diurnal migration was seen.

Very good numbers of butterflies both Chalkhill and Common Blues were recorded in good numbers with several Brown Argus and 1 Wall plus other common butterflies. Doreen had 1 Hummingbird Hawk Moth.
