5th October, 2020 Beachy Head. Overcast, cool. W 1 increasing to 3

We covered Shooters Bottom, Old Trapping Area and then spent the rest of our time near Icky Ridge trying to get satisfactory views of two Lapland Buntings. KH, RKH, and RES also covered Shooters Bottom, radio mast bushes, Hotel Garden and then spent time also trying to get some reasonable views of the two Buntings. RJF covered the Cliff Path, Whitbread Hollow, Cow Gap and Francis Bottom, the Rides, and a number of sites on the Headland, RE covered Belle Tout wood, Birling lane, and part of the Cornish Farm track.

Reasonable numbers of common migrants with the highlights being 4 Ring Ouzels, 4 Firecrests  and 2 Lapland Buntings, but both these Buntings were  difficult to get satisfactory views, although calls heard by most observers.
