29th May, 2019 Beachy Head Overcast, clear and cool. S to W 3

On the drive over to Beachy, a Hobby flew across the road on the out-skirts of Newhaven and then departed N up a Valley.
I went with Terry this morning and we sea-watched from 06.30-07.30 and we then covered the Radio mast bushes, Hotel Garden, Icky Ridge, Cliff Path and returned along the top bushes, Old Trapping Area and Belle Tout wood. The sea-watch was quiet although the first bird I saw was a Manx Shearwater and as expected the area was very quiet with probably no new arrivals and we didn't even see any hirundines.
On the journey home a Red Kite over the A27 on the approach to Lewes.
