17th April, 2019 Beachy Head Sea-fog with poor visibility mild wind light and variable

We joined RAB and sea-watch from 06.00-11.00 with sea-fog and poor visibility all morning. We were joined for part of the time by RE and LP. Even in the fog, an excellent movement was taking place and our best day ever for Mediterranean Gulls. RE also covered Birling lane area, Birling loop, Belle Tout wood, the Cornish Farm track and Shooters Bottom. LP covered the sites on the Headland, Shooters Bottom and Belle Tout wood and after the sea-watch we covered Old Trapping Area, Hotel Garden, Icky Ridge and the radio mast bushes and Shooters Bottom.
A good arrival of Willow Warblers, Blackcaps with 2 Short-eared Owls were the highlight.
