With news breaking of a Kentish Plover on the flood in the Cuckmere, we made our way there during the early afternoon. Luckily two other birders were watching it from the western river bank and we quickly joined them. Unfortunately it was now very distant feeding with Dunlin, Ringed Plover and a Grey Plover, and was even further away than the Rye Harbour bird a few years ago. After ten minutes of watching we decided to visit Birling and check for any sea passage. Incredible number of cars parked along the approach road more like August Bank holiday. A short watch failed to produce any passage so we called it a day.
