20th August, 2018 Beachy Head Overcast at first becoming sunny and hot. W 1 increasing 2

We covered Shooters Bottom, Hotel Garden, Icky Ridge, Toilet block bushes, Old Trapping Area. RE covered Birling lane, Birling and Belle Tout loop, Belle Tout wood. LP covered the area between
the Toilet block bushes to the Old Trapping Area. AR visited Whitbread Hollow and Cow Gap, and several other birders were also present on the Headland.
A reasonable fall of night migrants and at long last some quality. Our first Spotted Flycatchers of the Autumn, also a Pied Flycatcher, Black Redstart but the highlight was a Melodious Warbler which was found by LP and showed well but very briefly.
