9th April, 2018 Beachy Head Overcast, dull with sea-mist. E 3-4

A dull murky morning with poor visibility. We met up with RE and birded Birling lane, Belle Tout wood, Cornish farm track, Shooters Bottom, Old Trapping Area, Hotel Garden, Icky Ridge and the Cliff path. RE also covered the Birling loop.
Still very quiet for migrants with 5 White Wagtails, and 2 Black Redstarts being the highlights.

Late news for the 8th April with 1 White Wagtail in Whitbread Hollow, 9 Firecrests, 4 Black Redstarts, and 1 Common Redstart which was also seen on the 7th.


White Wagtail in a ploughed field -5 new arrivals 4 dropped into the
field whilst we were there. 

Female Black Redstart which was being chased by a
 local male Stonechat.

Looked a dull bird until it flew.
