3rd January, 2018 Widewater
After virtually 24 hours of gales and with the wind now dropping we decided a late afternoon visit to Widewater in the hope that a goodie may have dropped in for shelter during the gales. Unfortunately, this was not the case although we obtained excellent views of a Knot and the female Goosander plus the usual Little Grebes, Little Egret etc. were also seen.
