28th May, 2017 Ashdown Forest Fine sunny and calm

Terry and myself went for a 3 hour walk in the Ashdown Forest and recorded the following:

Common Buzzard 1
Great-spotted Woodpecker 2
Mistle Thrush 3
Woodlark 4
Tree Pipit c12 with the majority singing
Common Redstart 3
Willow Warbler c50 majority singing
Several family parties of Coal Tits

Wood Warbler 1 singing at an undisclosed site.

Wood Larks

Wood Warbler at an undisclosed site. It was singing almost
continuously flicking around a small area often doing what
appeared to be display flights which would suggest it was
trying to attract a mate.




 

 

Wood Warbler
