17th March, 2017 Beachy Head Hazy sunshine, clear NW-W 2 increasing to 4

We sea-watched from 07.10-07.40 but as expected virtually no movement recorded. We then covered Birling Lane, Birling loop, Belle Tout wood, Cornish Farm track, Shooters Bottom, Old Trapping Area, Hotel Garden and Icky Ridge. Small arrival of night migrants which included 5 Wheatears and 2 fine White Wagtails feeding with 8 Pied Wagtails.

Late news for yesterday: Richard Butler birded several sites on the Headland and recorded 11 Chiffchaffs, 1 Goldcrest, 45 Brent Geese E, 1 Redwing and 1 Yellowhammer.
