24th January, 2017 Coldwaltham

Late morning visit after the fog had cleared to Coldwaltham and the Great-grey Shrike was sat out near the top of a large bush almost opposite the gate.
We then went to the local sewage treatment works but unfortunately workman were at the works and although good numbers of Chiffchaffs were active in the warm sunshine along the back hedge no sign of the Siberian Chiffchaff. After crossing the railway I walked over the marshy area but just 1 Common Snipe was flushed and 2 more Chiffchaffs were seen. On our way back a smart Grey Wagtail was seen on t he treatment works.
