26th October, 2016 Beachy Head Overcast mild with very light wind becoming W 1-2

We covered Birling lane, Shooters Bottom, Old Trapping Area, Hotel Garden, Icky Ridge and Belle Tout wood. We met up with a number of other observers including SL who also covered Micheldene and other areas around Birling and Belle Tout, LP who covered Belle Tout loop and other areas and RE who was ringing in Whitbread Hollow.
Virtually no diurnal migration was recorded but a small fall of late migrants which included 9 Black Redstarts, a late 1stW male Common Redstart, and the first Woodcock of the Autumn. Combined totals as follows:
