6th August, 2016 Beachy Head Sunny and warm NW 0-1

Another beautiful calm morning and we covered Birling lane and scrub opposite, Shooters Bottom, Old Trapping Area, Hotel Garden and Belle Tout area. Bob and Martin were ringing in Whitbread Hollow. A good fall of Willow Warblers although most had gone by 9.00 am with small numbers of other night migrants with the Cetti's Warbler again re-trapped in the Hollow and 2 Whinchats at Birling. Late morning saw 200 Sand Martins feeding over the fields and a juvenile Yellow-legged Gull flew west off Birling.
