Tuesday 16 August 2016

16th August, 2016 Beachy Head Fine and sunny ENE 3 decreasing to 1

Met up with RK and saw several other birders on the Headland. Unfortunately there was a filming crew present on the Headland and we were unable to cover the Old Trapping Area. We did cover Birling lane and scrub opposite, Belle Tout wood area, Shooters Bottom. We also walked the Cornish Farm track.
Another disappointing day with a small arrival of Common Whitethroats and Willow Warblers with just small numbers of other migrants. Low numbers of Swallows moved E as did 2 Yellow Wagtails.
