20th April, 2016 and 22nd April, 2016 Beachy Head

20th April, 2016 Clear with a strong cold NE 5
With the strong cold NE wind we only covered Shooters Bottom, Old Trapping Area and Belle Tout wood
but with just the odd migrants seen. LP had covered Whitbread Hollow and RDME carried out a short sea-watch and covered some sites on the Headland

22nd April, 2016 Overcast cold NE 4-5
We sea-watched from 07.00-09.30 and then covered Hotel Garden, Icky Ridge, Cliff Path, Old Trapping Area, Shooters Bottom and Belle Tout wood. The strong cold NE wind made birding very difficult and the highlight was a 2nd yr. Glaucous Gull which flew very close past Birling and our first Swift for the year.
