25th March, 2016 Beachy Head Fine sunny warm N 1

After a difficult fortnight for both Doreen and myself, it was nice to be back out in the field at Beachy especially as the weather was nice and fine.
We made a latish start with David, and sea-watch from 09.00-09.45 meeting up with Bob who had already covered the Birling loop and Belle Tout wood and was on his way to the Hollow. We covered Birling lane, Shooters Bottom, Old Trapping Area, Hotel Garden and finished in Belle Tout wood.
Small numbers of Brents on the move on the sea-watch, otherwise just a few migrants seen which included 10 Firecrests including a delightful party of 8 feeding low down in Belle Tout wood, and we spent time photographing these confiding birds.
