7th January, 2014 Widewater and Shoreham Harbour

Another sunny afternoon, so we decided to visit Widewater where we had the good fortune in finding a Glaucous Gull which was on the island for around 30 minutes before flying off E towards Shoreham Harbour also 1 Kittiwake and the Mergansers were in rough water at the Western end.

We then visited Shoreham Harbour where the Glaucous had been seen briefly before we arrived and had departed E, we did see around 20 Turnstone and 3 Purple Sandpipers.
