30th December, 2012. Lewes & Beddingham

Visited Lewes to twitch the Waxwings and had good views of 12 performing well, although plenty of disturbance. As we were driving along the A26 past Beddingham Church, a party of 5 Waxwings flew in front of the car heading towards the churchyard area. We visited the churchyard area but unfortunately the Waxwings had flown on and we couldn't see any berry bushes either.

Some of the 12 Waxwings at Lewes today.

Nuthatch was an early morning visitor to our bird-feeders today.

If anyone is interested, I have added my trip report and pictures to Polynesia and the Pitcairn Island to the following blog site: http://jfcbirdingtrips.blogspot.co.uk/
