28 June 2012 Iping Common

WE decided to visit Iping Common as we haven't seen Silver Studded Blues for over 30 years. We found between 30-40 of these Blues. We also had 2 male Dartford Warblers, one of which was performing its song flight display, 1 juv. Redstart, 1 Tree Pipit and a number of Dragonflies which I will put on once I have sorted them out.
On our way home, stopped briefly at the Purple Emperor wood but just saw 2 Silver Washed Fritillaries and a handful of commoner butterflies.
