18th April, 2011. Arlington Reservoir

After sea-watching at Beachy for over 3 hours, we called in at Arlington Reservoir just in case the Red Rumped Swallow was still showing, but it seemed to have flown off several hours earlier, but many thanks to Ian B. who quickly telephoned us on our arrival as an Osprey was showing over the far wood for a few minutes, poor views but still nice.

During the drive to Beachy in the early morning, we had a Tawny Owl being chased by a Jay fly across the road as we left Spatham Lane and were driving towards Plumpton.
